New things!

I have fallen out of love with live journal and i am having an affair with my space!
So new things . . .
New tattoo
New lip piercing (see Nick i did get it done!)
New house and i'm sharing it with a boy! (Not a new boy, still Nick.)
New job (hopefully, this is going to be my mantra, if i say it to myself at least a 100 times a day it's bound to come true! Although perhaps filling in the application for it rather than wasting time on here might help!)
New bastard washing machine (anyone else heard of an elusive T20 screwdriver? The machine doesn't work. I got annoyed and kicked it when i had my pink fluffy slippers on. It won that round!)
New home for the cats (It's like a proper family home, me, Nick and 2 naughty kitties!)
Considering my last update was in January, i really haven't done alot since then.

Above is one of my many wondrous quotes from Saturday night, i would mention more but that is all that i can remember. That and the fact that i drank the equivalent of 27 weight watchers points of alcohol, i didn't get my lip pierced, i can't remember much of Saturday, i am not drinking this much on my birthday otherwise it will be a short celebration.

I'm tired and i am very very very stressed out!
Why can't i ever appl y myself to anything?
Why do i find anything to do to waste time?
Like this, this is wasting time! Oh fuck t-minus 5 hours until application forms have to be handed in!
On the plus side FUCK there is no plus side i've still got all 3 to do!
Fuck fuck fuck, i know going for a cigarette will help . . .

If i was this month i would feel very sad, this month sucks ass and everybody hates it. All the fun of Christmas and New Year are left behind and we're left with bills, huge hangovers and weather that makes Scotland look like the sunshine capital of the U.K.
All those wonderful new year's resolutions have been broken by desperate people in need of a cigarette or chocolate. (Purely to help them build up their body fat to protect them from this miserable weather!)
Relationships tend to take a nose dive at this point in time, who has the money to go out and meet their prospective "utility bill and half of the rent" partner? Those in relationships are no better off, say goodbye to the fun and frolics you had over Christmas and welcome back to commuting, work and having to eat lats night's left over beef stroganoff for lunch as you have no money to go to O'Neils. No, not even if you buy a burger and get a free drink, still no money for it! Forget such silly thoughts at the possibility of going to the pub/cinema/casino(!) together and instead settle down, get to know the walls of your living room well and enjoy spending time with your partner who is also experiencing the same joys of work and last night's lovely beef stroganoff.
Gone are the mornings when you rushed over to open up your curtains to see if it has snowed in December, instead enjoy hours of deciding which of your unpractical clothes drag the least along the pavement and absorb the smallest amount of the dirty rain water ( which may i add has no doubt been there since last night.) Or if you are even luckier you can be caught in a downpour and spend the rest of the day at work with soaking wet jeans and damp socks.
All in all I <3 January!
My computer went mad when i was typing this so i apologise if there is an extra long gap at the bottom!

At Louise's request for computer wizardry here is a picture of me and my lovely girlfriend in the 'Dam. Note my dodgy stubble and random bits of hair coming out from underneath my hat!

To help you imagine what it is actually like to be in Amsterdam, pretend that bikes are coming at you from all angles, get some of your friends to go "puss puss, cocaine ecstacy?", and get stoned.

Nick goes to London so Dana and i go out and take it for the team.
Saturday went something like this:
2 p.m - start drinking baileys
4 p.m - wish i hadn't started drinking baileys so early and attempt to sober up by cooking sausages
6 p.m - Start trying to put make up on now as slightly drunk and the eyeliner won't go on straight
7 p.m - give up on make up for the moment and fill glass back up
8 p.m - ohhh Casualty is on
8.30 p.m - oh shit really should start to get ready as i'm meeting Dana in an hour
9.15 p.m - ready to go with "supplies" in my bag (i'm sure you can break the cryptic code Dana!)
9.50 p.m - ohhh a double JD please
10 p.m - i can dance better and longer than the midget, oh yes i can!( I'm waiting for Alex to disagree on this one!)
For some reason there is a slight gap in my memory from about 11.30 until noon the next day. I remember lying to lots of people so i could escape them and go home by myself, i also remember there being chips and an evil taxi that sent Joe mad!Nick filled in the gap for 4 a.m, according to him i tried to call him several times. I'm sure it would have been an amazing conversation if he had been awake!
All in all (i think it was) a good night.

update your lj! (Dana you should take notes of these pearls of wisdom!)
It's Saturday and so far my weekend has been pretty uneventful, Nick and i stayed in last night as i managed to mix painkillers and a bottle of red wine (again!) and got slightly spaced out. I was impressed with Channel 4's Friday night programme line up so it wasn't all a loss!
The call of London and some uni friends have encouraged my better half (no, not Dana!) to head down there for most of today and tomorrow, leaving me with no money and some stupid crap NVQ thing that i have to do for work. This NVQ annoys me, i have 4 a-levels and, without sounding up my own ass, i resent doing it as i feel i would be more suited to a degree. Also i am not going to get a pay rise because i have done this and it's a horrible portfolio thing and i hate it. It's become my whipping boy, if i'm pissed off with any other issues then i take it out on the NVQ. It is the NVQ's fault why i have no money and i am unbearably bored.
I'm killing time until tonight, only 71/2 hours until i go out with Dana and have a "girly night." Sadly it's at the met lounge and i'm sure it was only last week that i vowed never to set foot back in that dump, but it's the only attraction Peterborough's got going for it on a Saturday night. I have started drinking Baileys already to try and get myself in the par - tay mood. I still havn't achieved that state of nirvana yet, i feel more Baileys is required. The plan of action tonight is to take cam whore pics of Dana and i to update Badgergirlz with,i think we should just have a cam whore section in badgergirlz. Naturally all pictures would be in black and white and would feature our silly emo fringes flopping over half of our face to try and convey that we are so mysterious!!
I have an empty glass, this is not a good sign, i can feel my crazy par-tay girl attitude slipping away and therefor feel i should top it up with more baileys!
So to sum up this post, i am bored and feeling slightly bitter.

Well it's 2005 and we're only 4 days into the new year and so far i have managed to spend a stupid amount on going to the met lounge only to discover it's closing at midnight, turned up a day early for work ( " Louise, don't you know your still on holiday?" If i had known that i wouldn't have gotten up at 6.30 this morning!)Oh and i have also managed to split my lip. (Replace "i" with "we," I won't be held entirely responsible!!) It just goes to show that although it is a new year the everyday stuff does not change, and for once i don't want it to.
Over the past couple of New Years i have made many new year's resolutions that i have failed to stick at, this year i haven't made any. The reason for this isn't due to the lack luster attitude of "well i'll only break them anyway" but because for once i don't feel there is anything about me that i want to change.
Admittedly at times i can drink too much and i know i smoke too many than i should and surely running for the bus in the morning should count as exercise?! This is me and i'm happy with it, for a while it felt like i was being taken with the current and i could tell a stranger everything about my monotonous week as it was all planned out by my stuck in the rut lifestyle, last March/April saw a change. It really was thanks to Dana who had to physically force me out of the house and back into that incestuous little place: the met lounge.
I had fun being single but that doesn't compare to how i feel about my relationship and Nick, he's not just my boyfriend but also a best friend. We can be close and romantic when we want to be but we can also just go food shopping together and stay at home all day playing Monkey Ball and feel safe in the knowledge that we don't know what we are going to do tomorrow but so long if it's with each other it'll be fine.
I like not knowing what the future has to offer and i may not have achieved a degree or a driving license or a successful engagement but i have got the freedom to do almost anything i want to. Finally i have dreams and i have plans and for once i think i might be able to make them reality.

I really should update more,it was ages ago that i last did but to be honest it would have been more of the same : went to pos with dana and nick, got pissed, danced like a fool, fell over, home, bed, headache next morning.
Although last Friday had a twist in the tale, Dana and i decided to have a water fight, in the middle of December, in a club, can anyone spot the flaws in that plan?!
Needless to say Dana and myself got very wet and managed to make fools of ourselves yet again, well it wouldn't be a Friday night if i didn't make a twat of myself, of course the obligatory headache the next morning followed! Plans for this weekend are as of yet unconfirmed but i'm sure, dear reader, if you really cared you could take a guess!
Last weekend was cool, Nick and i went and saw Atreyu in London which in itself was good, combine that with however many JD's and a pint of Stella (costing £3.20 might i add,)that i drank, shopping in Camden and meeting some of Nick's London friends ( i thought he had just made them up! :P), you've got yourself a super fly day! I really did have a good time, it's been ages since i've seen a band outside of Peterborough and seeing as Nick even bought me my ticket, it was just really awesome.
This leads me nicely onto my relationship with Nick. I don't want to go on to much about it because no one ever needs to hear that much about someone else's relationship but it is all wonderful. I never knew that it could be so good, Nick is so chilled out and everyone that matters to me loves him and can't believe i've found someone like him! I'm very happy and can't wait for Christmas!
This Saturday is a last minute shopping trip to Birmingham and i do whole heartedly intend to go into panic shopping mode and buy a shit load of crap from the wonderful 98p China shop ( he he he you think you are getting something good dana?!)
For Nick's present i intend to go to the Rimmel counter at Boots and buy him some of his own make up so that i don't have to fight with him on a Friday night for my eye liner!
Hmm oh yes there could be plan's afoot for Friday night, i'm meant to be organising my work's Christmas night out! Woo hoo (read it with less enthusasim and you've just about got it right!) Great, in my experience work night outs always go awry so i'm desperately trying to avoid organising it or at least put it off until the end of Jan, giving me more time to come up with a more plausible excuse than "I'm washing my hair!"
The nicotine craving is calling so i'm going to go for a cigarette, what a classy lady i am!

" Some peope underestimate the power of dutch weed"
Nov. 11th, 2004 | 09:16 am
mood:
exhausted
music: The Cure "Love cats" - of course!!
Oh how the guy behind the reception was right, Dutch weed is strong! It's not so much that Nick and I underestimated its power it's more that when drugs are being offered to you legally and relatively cheap the novelty wears off quite quickly! We really didn't smoke that much, however I feel I made up for the lack of smoking by my mass consumption of beer and lager! It's a lot cheaper in Amsterdam than spirits so I had to kiss goodbye to my friend Jack and get acquainted with any sort of beer that was cheap, it also turns out that I get drunk quicker drinking beer than I do drinking spirits, thankfully no visits to Euroland the Dutch equivalent of Poundland!
Nick and I did do some tourist things as well like going to the Heineken museum which was very fun, looking back I think it was fun due to the free Heineken you were given as you went around! Also they had big shire horses which made me really want to go riding, thankfully there was a simulator which allowed you to pretend to be a coachman! Not quite the real thing but it satisfied me for a bit. I really wanted to go on the horse and carriages that Nick and I saw on Dam Square but we just ran out of time, (although I think Nick may have planned it like that, after the coachman simulator he asked "if the real thing was really that bumpy!")
We also visited the Van Gogh museum and what you don't realise when you look at prints is the texture that these paintings have, I really just wanted to touch them and I particular loved the way Van Gogh painted his sky. They were full of so many different colours and consisted of really big brush strokes so that the paint looked almost 3D, however sunflowers - meh!! According to Nick I didn't see the actual well known Sunflowers but I saw one out of the series, I really wasn't that impressed, to quote from a conversation with my mum this morning "I don't really like yellow!"
I really enjoyed Anne Frank's house, it was quite an eerie experience to be where she wrote her diaries and hid for such a long time, you could really imagine how it must have been for her in hiding. There was no natural light and all the windows were blacked out, in her room were all cut outs of famous film stars of the time, stuck onto her wall to try and decorate it. It just felt very odd to be there and also felt very futile. We would like to think that the world has moved on and we would learn from what has happened in the past but sadly that's not the case.
Randomly strolling through Amsterdam seemed like the best plan and Nick and I found many cool shops, bars and coffee shops. One of our favorites had to be Hill Street Blues, a graffiti friendly (if such a place exists) cheap, chilled out bar and coffee shop. Nick had fun tagging tables and the walls so much so that he felt the need to invest in some spray paint and big really big fat paint marker pens, all of which I am not allowed to use due to the fact that I’m a girl!! We also went to a club called Korsokoff, it was very narrow with a dance floor that makes the met's look huge! It was really quiet until about one when more people started to turn up, I remember a lot of Rammstein being played so in a desperate attempt to try and block it out I drunk more cheap beer! On the walk home my homing pigeon senses let me down and I got a little confused as to where the hotel was, thankfully the graffiti master aka Nick knew where we should be going, after a pit stop at McDonalds (oh yes they get everywhere) we made it back to the hotel in one piece!
It was really nice to meet Nick's friend Alfons and his girlfriend Tamara, they cooked us a traditional Dutch meal and cleared up one or two things we didn't quite understand about Holland. (If you see a black gollywog in a shop window, don't tut and comment on how un-pc it is, for you see, it's just merely the Spanish Santa Claus' elves!! I know I know I was also confused by it!)
I really enjoyed myself and it's the first time that I’ve been on holiday and NOT argued with the person I’ve been holidaying with!
Thank you Nick x x

(If you see a black gollywog in a shop window, don't tut and comment on how un-pc it is, for you see, it's just merely the Spanish Santa Claus' elves!! I know I know I was also confused by it!)
I really enjoyed myself and it's the first time that I’ve been on holiday and NOT argued with the person I’ve been holidaying with!
Thank you Nick x x

He he he i had a tres cool weekend! I dressed up TWICE as a cat and hell did i put effort into the top i made! I almost lost a boyfriend because of it! :P
Friday night was pos and i was accompanied by Nick and Dana (who also put so much effort into her outfit and spent waaayyyy too much money on it! Have u taken the stuff back yet?)Oh yes ladies and gentlemen we are cheap girls who buy things, burst the seam and then take them back to the shops and spend the returned money on precious, precious JD!
Woops, i've gone off subject! Ok, so it took me about 5 hours to get ready and because of that we actually had to que to get into pos! I hate queing at the best of times but more so when i have stockings on and a top that just ties up at the back! After much grumbling we finally got in, only to discover that if you actually wanted to move anywhere you would have to be skinner than Kate Moss to fit threw the heaving crowd. It was mad and was so so so packed. (Apparently they went over the fire limit, that made me feel safe!) However it was a very good night, Dana and i smoked our coloured cocktail cigarettes and looked like uber-kool bitches, some odd ball called Sylv (;p) kept pinching mine! £7 a pack that's all i have to say, he deserves to be badgered, hmm wait a minute . . . !
Dana and i danced like idiots, but what's so unusual about that. I do believe we tried to cyber it up to Suicide Commandos "Hell raiser" I'm sure we'll eventually grow tired of doing the robot.
Not to be out done Nick and Sylv thought that a little bump and grind would go down well so of course there obvious partners were each other! I really felt the chemistry between them when they were singing Evanescence to each other!
Heading back out to work now but will update about the Halloween par-tay on Saturday later!
Peace out, cocktail fish!

How bored was i?
Oct. 14th, 2004 | 10:00 am
mood:
happy
music: Suicide Commando - Hellraiser
It would appear i was so bored that i couldn't even finish off my entry! Probably a good thing really as i think it would have made no point and just been dull!
In the entry talking about the weekend i managed to miss out loads of stuff! (I think i was preoccupied with thoughts of roboting!) On the Friday Nick and went to the pub in Stamford and proceeded to get free/cheap drinks for most of the night, 12 o'clock rolls round as we roll out of the pub and being slightly drunk and feeling mischievous we were looking for naughty-ness to get up to!! God bless winter, for it had given us . . .
STEAMED UP CAR WINDOWS!Oh what were we meant to do? Just walk past? The car windows were calling out to be tagged (the tags would go, they were only on steam!!) it would have been a crime not to!
We couldn't do just one though could we? Hell no, it is after all for the team so every car we came across ended up being tagged and the further down the road we got, the sillier and bigger the tags got ( i think there was several that said Nick smells!)
Being the crazy drunken fools that we were ( at this point i would like to say i wasn't the only member of the Hill household to be a crazy drunken fool that night: Dad, London, phone box, that's all i have to say!) we threw caution to the wind and tagged a lovely Nissan Micra just as it's owners were coming out of the house. A swift walk away from the car and in the direction of home ended the tagging car adventure!
The high-light of the night had to be when Nick received a phone call from Paul, who was walking in the same direction we had just come from, mentioned all these tagged cars. From the giggling i think he may have guessed we had something to do with it - at last our work had been recognised!!
SATURDAY NIGHT - THE WALK TO THE TAXI RANK!
I really don't know how i forgot about this! Nick and i were privileg edenough to discover a big green 'e,' and in our confused states we weren't entirely sure what to do with it. After a couple of minutes of deep thinking Nick decided to pick it up and give it to me as a gift, but the mystery of where it came from still hadn't been solved until. Or at least it wasn't until Nick puts his uni degree to good use and realises that the big green 'e' from Savers (the cheap shop near the arcade) is missing and it appears that the big green 'e' i had in my hand used to be part of the Savers sign, until it "accidently" fell off!
I'm proud to say that i have given the 'e' a good home and that it now lives hung up on my bedroom wall!

Bored, bored, bored

I am so bored and restless today, it feels like i've eaten loads of e-numbers because i just can't sit still and focus on anything! Not even the wonders of Location, location, location or Holby City can hold my attention!
I'm just so amazingly bored, i don't want to watch a film and i don't want to listen to music or read a book or anything else like that!! This seems to be the only thing holding my attention (is that because i'm talking about myself?!)

DOING THE ROBOT! That's right it's all about doing the robot to any tune that vaguely sounds like it might be played at Slimelight, having a vacant look on your face and pretending that you are a-maz-ing! I think Dana and i managed to pull these 3 easy steps off on Saturday night at the Met, (which may i add felt very odd to be there without Stacey!!)he he he i like to think that we looked awesome, particular with my white hair and hu-ge false eyelashes! I'm just to cool for school!
Other highlights of the night had to be a very drunk man asking me if i wanted his phone number, in a word, no! Let's not forget the crazy dancing guy who's amazing chat up line was "hi i'm Chris, what's your name?" I've never felt Dana hold my hand so tight! However due to unforeseen circumstances i lost my partner in crime quite early on, but then again she does look like a "horrible bitch!" ( Dana - in regards to a certain someone: at least Nadia from big brother had an excuse for her chin being so big, she used to be a man! Hmm . . i wonder . . .)
Thankfully Nick was there (of course he was there :D)and we managed to have a dance whilst maintaining the vacant look on our faces! Some, like me, find maintaining a vacant look on your face, easier than others!!
I'm now just counting down the days to Amsterdam!! Only 23 more sleeps to go!!

I've been told i must update this journal but i don't know why! What do you want me to say?
I've been living with Nick
nickamcat for the past week while Alex was on holiday and successfully managed to girly up the house! I'm sure Nick was intrigued at how much stuff i needed for a week and that his lovely sterile boy bathroom now looked like a bomb had gone off in the urban decay make up counter and had claimed the bathroom as a victim! (and also later on Nick, i think he may have had some make up on in those pics i posted!!) I'm amazed that it went so well and we managed to put up with each other for a week! I'm not good with things like this, i like my own space and time but as Nick was buying almost 2 bottles of red wine a night i figured i could last a week! On a serious note it worked really well and i will miss him tonight. The emo guru that is
reverend_alex alex has returned and my services(!) are no longer needed, I'm not sure Alex was impressed with his own personal Boot's store in the bathroom!
Saturday night i went out and (3 cheers for me) wasn't sick!! I got merry and sang G'n'R " sweet child o' mine" to Nick, with hand actions and everything! Fraser played air gee-tar aka his jacket zip and sang backing vocals, I'm sure if i had done it alone i just would have looked silly!! I wore cat ears out on Saturday night and only a few looks, not as many as when i wore them On friday night to quite a conservative pub in Stamford, Nick's pleas not to wear them fell on deaf ears and i eventually did give in and handed them over. Little did i know that Nick only wanted me to take them off so he could wear them!! That's not for the team! I used my girly charms and managed to get them back!!
Although I've had a really good week i know some of my friend's haven't -
deeppuddle especially Stacey. I just want her to know that my thoughts are with her and when such an event happens it really does make u question your own mortality.
On a happier note i think i might actually be venturing to POS on friday night for some silly drunken dancing, no doubt followed by some drunken murmur about "i'm a dance teacher don't you know!" Oh the madness!!
